Our Classes

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa means to link one posture to another and the ‘Flow’ part describes how postures are repeated in a dynamic sequence. Vinyasa flow gets your muscles warm and working, it builds strength and flexibility. Breathing is central to the flow, accompanying each movement and bringing you into the present moment. The rhythmic repetition in the practice allows you to enter a state of almost pure focus, calming the mind, while moving fluidly.

Power Yoga

Power Yoga offers a vigorous, fitness-based approach to Vinyasa-style yoga. Designed to build strength, stamina, and flexibility, these classes feature dynamic sequences that challenge the body and mind. Each session emphasises synchronising movement with breath, fostering a powerful connection between the two. Ideal for those seeking a more intense practice.

Rocket

A series of postures based on a modification of the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary and Intermediate Series. The Rocket renews energy and vitality; it is fun, creative and fiery!

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga has the same objective or goal as any other yoga practice, to increase mind-body awareness, increasing consciousness, but it is softer and slower paced than the likes of a vinyasa practice. Yin yoga directs the stimulation created in our bodies deeper than the muscular tissues (or yang tissues). Yin targets the connective tissues (or yin tissues), such as the ligaments, fascia, bones and joints of the body. That is not to mention the many energetic body benefits of a yin yoga practice.

The essential essence of all life is called Chi. Chi moves through energy channels in the body called meridians. In our yin practice, we target specific meridians to stimulate the production and flow of Chi energy. We want to coax the chi into particular pathways, giving the targeted organs a refined energy.

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional, structured practice involving a set series of postures linked by breath. This class is designed to build strength, flexibility, and mental focus through a disciplined approach. Each session progresses through the Primary Series, making it suitable for practitioners who appreciate a consistent and rigorous routine.

Hatha/Vinyasa

Hatha/Vinyasa offers a balanced practice that combines the foundational postures of Hatha yoga with the fluid, breath-synchronised movement of Vinyasa. This class provides a comprehensive approach to yoga, blending strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. Suitable for all levels, it caters to those who seek both structure and flow in their practice.

Slow Flow

Slow flow offers a more gentle and mindful practice that combines movement and breath at a relaxed pace. These classes focus on deliberate, controlled transitions between poses, allowing students to deepen their awareness, build strength and improve flexibility. The slower pace encourages thoughtful alignment and a meditative experience to reduce stress and cultivate inner calm. Ideal for all levels.

Therapy Yoga

Therapy Yoga is a gentle practice designed to support healing and recovery. Tailored to individual needs, this class incorporates therapeutic postures, breathwork, and mindfulness techniques to help alleviate physical discomfort and reduce stress. Ideal for those seeking a holistic approach to well-being.

Breath & Meditation

Breath & Meditation focuses on the power of pranayama (breath control) and mindfulness practices to cultivate inner peace and mental clarity. This class guides students through various breathing techniques and meditation exercises, helping to calm the mind and enhance overall well-being. Suitable for all levels.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation known as 'Yogic Sleep', derived from the tantras. During Yoga Nidra the body appears to be asleep, but the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness. We develop a feeling of full relaxation while engaging in a meditative enquiry.

As we are in a state between wakefulness and sleep, the door between the conscious and subconscious mind remains open. Our subconscious mind is like tender soil, where whatever we plant is easily accepted. So we can use this state to plant our deepest desires and allow the fruits to enrich our lives.

Sound Bath

Sound Baths offer a deeply relaxing and immersive experience designed to soothe the mind, body and spirit. During these sessions, students are bathed in the soothing vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, and other instruments, creating a soundscape that promotes deep relaxation and mental clarity. The harmonious frequencies help to reduce stress, balance energy, and enhance overall well-being. Ideal for all levels.

Mandala Yoga

Just like in our regular vinyasa flow classes, we link the breath with moving in a rhythmic, dynamic way. A mandala is a figure that represents the universe. In mandala vinyasa, we use all 4 corners of the mat, moving in 360 degree spirals.

The spiral patterns represent the cyclical essence of nature which we integrate into the practice through considering the elements of earth, water, air, and fire. Each element of nature correlates to a specific chakra and targets a certain area of the body.

Progressive Muscle Relaxation

PMR is a relaxation technique that systematically tenses and releases different muscle groups to promote physical relaxation and mental calm. This class guides participants through a step-by-step process to reduce stress and tension, making it perfect for anyone looking to cultivate deep relaxation and body awareness.

AcroYoga

An AcroYoga class combines elements of yoga, acrobatics, and acropeutic stretches to create a unique and playful practice that focuses on communication, trust, and connection between partners. Here's what you can generally expect from an AcroYoga class:

Warm-up: Like any physical practice, an AcroYoga class typically starts with a warm-up session to prepare your body for movement. This might include light stretching, breathing exercises, and joint mobility work.

Partner Work: AcroYoga is practiced with a partner or in small groups. You'll pair up with someone (or multiple people) to perform various poses and movements together. The class may include both static poses and dynamic flows.

Spotting and Safety:

Safety is a priority for us, and you will be given support and drills to start mastering your role as a "spotter".  This role is important in facilitating the practice and to prevent accidents or injuries. Spotters are responsible for ensuring that the flyer (the person being lifted or supported) is safe during poses and transitions.

Working with a spotter allows you to progress more effectively and safely, and therefore, have more fun in the process.  Spotters can sometimes act as a guide especially when you're upside down or when the movement is initially super complicated.

Roles: We will be focusing in detail the two main roles during this course.

In AcroYoga, there are typically two primary roles:

Base: The person who provides the foundational support for the flyer. The base typically has most of their body on the ground and is responsible for lifting and balancing the flyer.

Flyer: The person who is lifted, balanced, or supported by the base. Flyers focus on maintaining balance and engaging their core and limbs to create beautiful and dynamic shapes.

Communication: Clear and effective communication is crucial in AcroYoga. You'll learn specific hand signals or verbal cues to communicate with each other.

We strive to structure our classes to cater for your comfort and safety to ensure you have the most enjoyable acroyoga journey with us.

We look forward to working with you soon!
