Inge

Inge is a Vinyasa and Rocket yoga teacher and Psychology student in London, originally from Cape Town, South Africa.

She is greatly passionate about the interconnected nature between the mind and body and believes that through yoga our awareness of this connection only grows. She believes that this awareness is the first step to improving our understanding of ourselves and ultimately cultivating greater health in all aspects.

Her classes all evolve around tapping into this awareness and exploring the mind and body through moving with the breath. She encourages you to step on your mat with curiosity and an open heart, surrendering to all that arises.

Jo

Jo Arganaraz has supported and empowered students through Yoga and Ritual since 2010.  Jo’s Yoga Alliance school ‘Return to the Self’ specializes in Tantra, Hatha, Yin and the Yoga of the Feminine as well as offering Feminine Empowerment and Yoga Teacher Training (200 hour and Prenatal). Jo is a breast cancer survivor, a birth doula, a mother of 2 and has led yoga courses, retreats and festivals around the world for over 15 years including her Feminine Empowerment Festival, ‘Shakti Celebration’. She brings leadership, life experience, maturity and depth and most of all compassion to her heart centered, non-dogmatic and post lineage yoga classes.

I began yoga in my early 20s to combat stress and anxiety. I have been immersed in yoga now for 30 years and it has shaped my life. I initially studied more dynamic forms of yoga with a decade as an ashtanga practitioner, but after my children were born I have been focussing on more feminine styles of yoga which led to the creation of my specialist courses. My signature YTT is a Prenatal training as well as a Feminine Empowerment course called Awakening Shakti.

Yoga is the journey back to the Self. Yoga is for all and should be pleasure based, adapted to our needs and practiced in community with joy. I believe in non-hierarchical structures of yoga and am a post lineage advocate.

I am certified to teach Tantra, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Kids, Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga.  I offer both dynamic and restorative yoga classes.

Sima

Sima is my name. Born in Zimbabwe. Started my yoga journey in 2013 following a knee injury and a range of health issues which stripped away my mobility and sense of self. A turning point in my life, long story short, 2017 I trained to become a yoga teacher. I now teach yoga in various settings across London from Universities, gyms/health centres, parks, as well as corporate settings.

My philosophy as a Yoga Teacher is that Yoga is for everyone. The practice meets you wherever you are at any given moment. For me teaching Yoga provides me with a platform to contribute towards making positive change.

I teach a combination of Dynamic Vinyasa Flow style of yoga and Hatha Yoga.

Ruby

I believe that every being has an essential nature beyond their persona, which has been called many names: buddha nature, atman, loving awareness. I'm convinced that real inner peace creates outer peace and harmony. Yoga and meditation are the means to cultivate the emergence of this true nature: "You create the garden, you don't grow the flower." - Ram Dass

I began practicing meditation and then yoga to increase my self-awareness and the ability to find inner-stillness. The more I practiced, the deeper the intention became as I opened to deeper experience and meaning.

I trained to teach mindfulness meditation with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, and love to explore the multitude of ways meditation can bring a sense of calm, contentment, and clarity. I am currently completing a 200h YTT in Power Vinyasa yoga, but have mostly practiced Astanga and Hatha. I hope to hold meditative space for both interiorisation and embodiment through my yoga classes.

Erika

I have been doing gymnastics and dancing since I was 5 years old, growing up I also fell in love with philosophy and spirituality, so yoga has found its way into my life very naturally and has been part of my journey for a long time.

My yoga philosophy is to observe my body, my breath and my mind. First step to any change is awareness and acceptance of the present moment.

I teach Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga.  I love dynamic flows that strengthen muscle groups, deep stretching exercises, and intuitive movements.

Ema

I am from Bucharest, Romania.

I have been practicing yoga since I was about 15 and movement has always been a constant variable in my life, so the familiarity and consistency of a yoga practice was natural to fall on to.

I was trained in a combination of Rocket and Ashtanga yoga and my philosophy is that yoga - meaning everything that yoga stands for, not just the physical practice - can bring balance into everyone's lives.

Rose

Rose first discovered Ashtanga Yoga when studying in Edinburgh over 15 years ago. Struck by the stillness she felt during and after class, she gradually delved deeper and eventually travelled to Bali to train with Gregor Maehle and Monica Gauci, expanding her practise to the subtler limbs of yoga. Since qualifying as a yoga teacher in 2019, Rose has primarily taught in Paris where she lived for 10 years, and for the NHS as a volunteer. She continues to study with Gregor and Monica, alongside other senior teachers such as Kia Naddermier and Petri Raisanen. She has an MSc in Psychological Sciences from UCL and is currently studying a foundation course in psychotherapy.

Rose’s classes will help you cultivate a regular and safe practice of Ashtanga yoga, focusing on breath awareness, posture and alignment. All levels are welcome as alternative postures will be given for both new and advanced practitioners. Ashtanga yoga has been transformative for Rose and she aims to teach as she has been taught: with authenticity and compassion.

Lily

I started yoga online "yoga with Adriane" and after school I went and did a Yoga Teach Training course in Capetown South Africa, where I fell in love with it even more. I did the course for personal development, to work on my mindfulness and connection to my body, which previously I found very challenging. Although not perfect now, I feel I have much more awareness of my body, I am able to listen to it and treat it with much more respect, in turn I have grown much stronger and more confident in it.

For me, yoga is connecting to yourself, it is often an energy clearer, an emotional outlet and a physical challenge, which leaves me with more clarity and space. In includes what you need it to include. It provides you with what you need it to. I hope that all my students can have the confidence to make their practice their own, seeing my instructing as a guideline, a suggestion about what they can try. What I really love about teaching is it is a way for me to empathise with people, I feel what they feel and I guide them with what I think would help them. Sometimes that is challenging their beliefs, sometimes it is encouraging them to slow down and reflect.

I specialised in Vinyasa and Yin yoga. My classes at UCL will be for those who have practiced yoga for a while and want to start challenging themselves more. I will incorporate advanced positions, some which I haven't even mastered yet, in order to grow and learn with my students. My classes will be exciting and energetic but mostly empowering, with an aim to help people discover strength that they wouldn't have imaged before. I love a meditation too, although my classes might get a little sweaty, I always include a theme, an aim or focus for the mind. I believe it is just as much a mental practice as it is a physical one.

Marta

Hello! I run yoga classes in London, and tailored yoga therapy sessions in person and online. I am very passionate about yoga and I hope I’ll be able to share it with you!

I am a certified yoga teacher having practiced yoga for over 12 years and trained under Indian masters at Rishikul Yogshala in India Rishikesh and Yogacampus in London. I am also a qualified Yoga Therapist having completed a 2-year Master Level Diploma (550 hours plus, British Council of Yoga Therapy) and I'm currently registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.

I started teaching yoga in 2016 in different leisure centres and studios across London and have been deepening my knowledge and experience through ongoing training, self-practice and self-study.

I have been practicing Iyengar Yoga with well renowned senior teachers for many years and my passion for alignment and anatomy combined with my interest in Viniyoga, Hatha and other styles of yoga have helped me to create a unique style which has at his heart creating body-mind awareness as the starting point for self-discovery and growth. Yoga is a beautiful and powerful practice that goes beyond the mat and can guide us in our everyday lives so I hope you will find it empowering!

Astrid

I started yoga about 15 years ago when I was studying Chemistry at University and I was having a hard time managing my stress and sleeping well. I had back pain that was mostly due to the long hours revising with a bad sitting posture, and being anxious. Yoga improved my physical and mental health tremendously, and I’ve never stopped since.

I decided to train in Vinyasa yoga in 2019, ans I’ve been teaching an all levels class at UCL since. I also studied the Tantra philosophy and its influence on yoga. I love a good playlist, pranayama and to practice at moderate speed but with an emphasis on alignment and precision.

I work in the cosmetic industry when I’m not teaching and I have a 5 month old baby!

Helena

With a background in Psychology and trauma-informed yoga, I am passionate about guiding students through yoga practices that support physical, emotional and mental well-being. My approach integrates breath work, alignment and mindfulness to create a nurturing and inclusive environments where students can explore their practice and find balance. I strive to foster a supportive community and empower students to connect with their inner selves.

My teaching style is trauma-informed and offers dynamic Vinyasa, restorative Yin and gentle Slow Flow practices. In my Vinyasa classes, I emphasise fluid movement and breath synchronisation to build strength. Yin classes focus on passive postures to deepen connective tissue release and promote relaxation. Slow flow sessions combine mindful movements with a slower pace, encouraging inner calm. Each class is designed to cater to a range of abilities, fostering a balanced and accessible practice.

I view yoga as a tool to balance the body, mind and spirit, encouraging deep self-awareness, connection and inner growth. My teaching is grounded in the principles of mindfulness and compassion, aiming to create a nurturing space where students can connect with their true selves and practice loving kindness.

Rosie

I discovered yoga during a low period in my life, which gave me first hand experience of how we can find ourselves feeling trapped in a dark place, and yet we can find a way to access our inner strength to realise that the darkness is only temporary. I believe that moving your body to still your mind is powerful and transformative, and I love sharing this with my students.

My teaching draws on Power Vinyasa yoga, using dynamic movement and breath to help students find mental stillness and focus. I encourage students to move at their own pace, to give things a go and to laugh when they fall!
